Hello friends, so many of you know that I'm a makeup artist and I must say that in all my years I get asked a lot of things, but one thing I get asked a lot is how do you draw the line between classy and trashy? Depending on who you ask, how do you define classy or trashy? That's the first step, how do you define or express classy? What seems trashy to you? What is your goal in putting makeup on, how do you feel? So can say red lipstick is trashy, but I don't believe that for a second, I do believe the wrong shade of red can make you look more trashy then classy.

Some say fake lashes are trashy, I love them but again its one of those things that can be over done and translated into trashy.
So I think it's all about moderation. First decide what feature on your face you want to focus on, if it's your skin make sure your application of foundation is flawless, blend into your hairline and don't forget your jawline and neck. Finish with powder, that is going to seal your look, through out your day blot with press powder on your T-Zone as needed.

If you choose to make your eyes your focus, start off light with your application because you can always build more product on through out your day. Choose your colors carefully. Neutrals are more forgiving than bolder colors, the secret is to blend, blend, blend. With lips there is nothing wrong with color, but again it's all about moderation.

As you get more comfortable with your makeup skills, you understand that your day look in different from your night look, you also begin to understand that you can combine the focal points on your face, but it's about your taste level. Just understand that when you look in the mirror to go with your gut, if it feels too much, take it down a bit, but if all else fails, take a picture of yourself and look at it or send it to a friend.

Always your girl
