Espadrilles, the quiet shocker for summer 2012

So for those not sure what Espadrilles are, they were originally peasent footwear because of the modest fabric it was made in. They normally are casual flat, but sometimes high heeled shoes originating from the Pyrenees. They usually have a canvas or cotton fabric upper and a flexible sole made of rope or rubber material moulded to look like rope. But in modern day they have shock the fashion world by being a summer must have. So the original Espadrilles were flat. But today we have reworked it as a wedge, it still have it's peasent feel but with a twist. These shoes run from about $45 to about $400. Alot of celebrities have been spotted in them.... This is a must have hot trend for summer get some ladies! Forever your girl JeniqueK

Hot nail polish colors for 2012

Sooooo, nail polish, it's not something I really blog about too much but keeping them done along with you toes is a must. There are the classics like french tips, america manicure and ofcourse red but what is popping today? Well, there are four must have looks for 2012. The first is my personal favorite, glitter. I am very netrual on my hands but crazy on my toes, the glitter is perfect because its girly, fun and still neutral. The next trend that is hot right now is pastels. It is a soft look that honestly is beautiful on all skintones but mainly on darker skin is fab-u-lous! But by far the hottest color palette has been corals and tangerine, this color range is for my super trendsetter, its a bold color that everyone can't pull off. So on top of those colors, last but not least, mixing colors on your fingers is a great way to express yourself creatively, how ever, the wrong color combination can look childish, just be careful with that. Have fun and take a chance, if you don't like it you can always take it off. Forever your girl JeniqueK

Ask JeniqueK

How do you feel about Avon's minerals eyeshadow? Cheri, Liberia Thanks for your question Cheri, I really think it is a good product, any type of minerals product works great as long as it has a rich amount of pigment is great. The only thing about Avon is that they don't have a lot of colors to choose from, they tend to stay in the neutral zone. Also with minerals being a loose product it can get messy, a trick I learned is to dab your brush in a little water before you dip it into the product, it will hold on to the brush better and go on to your eyelid smoother. Good luck my dear, and keep the questions coming.

Pastel Accessories for 2012

Soooo patels are not going anywhere, we have seen the makeup and some of the clothes but let's dive into accessories!Lets start with a personal favorite of mine, bags. A pastel purse of any style is the perfect touch of class to a pair of jeans, a sweater or even a little white dress. Just make sure to avoid multi colored pastel bags, it could look a little easterish. Whats an outfit without jewelery, its the icing on the cupcake, mix and match and have fun with it just be careful with plastic pastel, it can look cheap. Dont forget about belts, besides holding up your pants and creating a waist from time to time, it adds a splash of color. Last but never least SHOES! Now we all know right pair of shoes can set an outfit off, why not set it off it pastel. Just be carful not to scuff your heels, it looks tacky. This is a very fun look for 2012, if you don't remember anything else just know that you can alway mix pastels with neutrals, like nude, khaki, denim, metalic and white. Happy Monday! How to rock mustard

So a hot color right now is mustard, yes mustard, how do you rock it with out looking like you belong on a hotdog? Well like every other trend, you need to own it! I have to tell you, I was quite unsure about mustard being that hot of a color, but I saw it in a color-block outfit and was sold.
Now I will admit, I am not a fan of mustard and black, don't want to look like a honey bee, however if you inject some white or cream in the mix it looks very elegant.
But, I think the cutiest look if you are bold enough to pull it of it a full on mustard dress.
If all of this is too much for you, no worries, just mix in some accessories.
Just remember, demin always works well with mustard along with grey, white, cream, fushia, blue and green, have fun with it! Forever your girl, JeniqueK
