Bib necklaces, only for the grown ass woman in you

Bib necklaces were a huge trend this spring and summer, but I honest don't think being a grown ass woman, we can let this one go. They are just enough to make you look extremely fashion forward. They come as simple and as over the top as you can handle but not to worry, we are going to break it down so you look like the style chica that you are. There are tons of styles and price points for bib necklaces. They range from about 25 dollars to the thousands. They can be made from metals, fabrics, leathers, stones and jewels. My three personal favorites are the jeweled, floral and earthy.
The jeweled bibs have add a beautiful touch of sparkle and glam. They can dress of a pair of jeans and tee-shirt and take a dress to the next level. They can be worn with a mono-toned outfit like all white, all black etc... Depending in if the jewels are fake or not they are the priciest of the bunch.

I love the earthy bibs because they almost give you a cause. They can be made from green products, natural materials or even fabric. They add an urban twist to everything you put it with. They are great with jeans and tee-shirt, and mono-toned but they are a little bite more tricky with evening wear.

The floral bibs are just for the romantic in me. They are so delicate and soft. The flowers can be constructed from anything. These are sexy and special and can work with any outfit.

I think this is a wonderful trennd to bump up your winter, freshen your spring, mellow out your summer and jazz up your fall looks. Which ever you choose owning one is a must have for every level of fashion girl. Understand your style and stay true to it and you will never go wrong. Stay fab!

The trick to rockin sequin

Sequins! Sequin I love sequin! Truth be told everyone can wear sequin, its true, there are so many ways to wear it. Now it is true that the thin girls have more options, but there are many options for my plus sizes sisters, curvy girls, flashy girls and conservative girls.
My plus size sisters, you can add a little sparkle to your wardrobe.
Go off your personality, have fun with it but owe your look. Sequin accents are another way my plus size girl, conservative girl and even my fashionably challenged girls can be in style.
With that you can wear all black, flash up a pair of jeans and a tee shirt or a plain dress.
What people need to understand is that the shape of the dress you choose and the sequin are factors in how it will look on you, having said that for my curvy girls, touches of sequin on your dress puts you on trend and keeps you from looking like a glitter ball.
Last but not least, my skinny chics you are luckiest of all, you can wear a full on gown
and short cocktail dresses.
So in this holiday season take a chance and add a little sparkle to your life and closet, and please, please make sure that face is beat to match. Love you, mean it,
your girl

What good mascaras do you recommend?

Mei-D.C.

Hey Mei, thanks for the question, and its a great one. I love mascara! It all really depends on want you need in the product. There are some really great brands out there Great Lash by Maybelline, DiorShow, Sephora's brand, there are mascaras for length, volume, both, waterproof, etc... Mascara comes in all colors also. Lets get started. The main thing women use mascara for is to lengthen their lashes, nothing wrong with that right, if that is the case, use one for that reason. There are tons that range from 4 dollars to 20 dollars. The second reason is because you have skinny lashes and you want them to be fuller, still nothing wrong with that, again you can go almost anywhere and find a product for that in the same price range.
Some of my poor girls need both, and that can be pricey. Some of my girls are perfect and only need a clear mascara to separate your lashes,
or don't even need mascara just a good old fashion lash curler.
Those are really the basics, however there are always exceptions to the rules of makeup. Waterproof is one, this a product not to be used daily (unless you are a cry baby or Tammy Faye Baker),
if you are going somewhere that you can and will get emotional please apply a good coat on before you go, you don't want to look like you lost a fight. For my more fun chicas there is colored mascara that always adds life to your face.
It is always fun, just don't go crazy, you don't want to look like a clown. Mascara is like the icing on a cake, it adds a little something extra, every woman should have on hand at all time, but just in case you have not idea where to start, my personal go to favorite is Great Lash!

Take care pretty girls!

Party over here girl....

Well friends, it party time and many parties will be thrown between now and the first of the year. They can be fun but it can also be stressful! The first thing you want to do is find out the dress code for the party. Everybody has so many, casual-chic, party-time-fly and my personal hollyhood-sexy (not!). I don't know what those means so I'll tell you about the ones I know. Black tie formal-long or cocktail dress,
bold jewels, rich colors. White tie- super formal, ball gowns,
gloves (if you can stand it all night). Cocktail/Semi-formal- sassy,
short dress, mid-length dress, killer heels, statement jewels
. Dressy-casual- no jeans but slack,
jersey-knit dresses,
bold colored blazers, brooches. Another thing if there is a theme follow it, all white, all black, holiday its all in fun and respect for the people throwing the party. There are soooo many ways to stand out without being disrespectful of the host's wishes. These are fun times, wear comfortable shoes( you don't want to be the drunk without shoes), wear your spanks(you want to be held in even after you forget to hold yourself in), have a fab-u-lous clutch, wear sequins,
don't be afraid of color. But most importantly, make sure that face is beat! Party on girls!

How to wear leggings

Leggings are a must have is any woman's wardrobe. So many of us unfortunately don't know how to wear them to the best of our style ability; trust me, its okay. The first thing you need to know is that legging come in all shapes, colors, styles and textures.
The second thing to keep in mind is the fit, there is nothing worst than saggy-crotch girl,
well yes there is also see-thur booty tights girl,
and lets not forget I see your granny panties tights girl; my list could go on and on.
Rules to wearing leggings, buy a quality pair of leggings try them on if you can in the dressing room with a bad lighting. There you can see if its sheer on the but and if it is saggy in the crotch area. If your body is perfect, you have the luxury to rock your new leggings with shirt or blouse and not a tunic or dress. If you are a little soft around the middle like most of us go with textured leggings and tunic, the pattern and texture draws attention to your legs and away from your tummy, throw a blazer over it add you highest heels. For my plus size sisters, leggings work for you also. Stay away for patterns and textures, add a belt with your tunics and sweaters that will create a waist. Layer your look, add boots the main thing is to invest in quality pieces.
Leggings are a piece that can be worn year around, with any shoes, can be worn causal or dressy, it is a staple for very woman.
Invest in a couple of pairs any take a chance, have fun and as always be Fab!

I have natural hair 4B (Really Fine, tightly coiled, 75%shrinkage) hair and I can't afford the expensive products like Miss Jessies and Carol's Daughter to define my coil/curls. What inexpensive coil/curl defining products do you for this natural girl on a budget. Thanks
Nivia
College Park

I myself am natural and I have been for 7 year. This is a tricky question because with natural hair its all about the texture and curl pattern of your hair. Infusium 23 and Eco Styler Gel w/ Aragon Oil are two that I have heard these product work really well.
Its all about trying products out to see what works for you. Natural hair is beautiful and liberating, the product you find that works for you may not work for the next girl but share your finds and experiences one product at a time. Good Luck!

How to have fun organizing your closet

The closet, it can be the reason you bought your house or the worst thing in your life(I hope not). If you are as lucky as me, you have 2 clothing closets and a shoe closet....yes people! What ever it is you need to have fun.
Lets get real, you got to put in a little work before you have all this fun. You have to ask yourself a few questions...can this fit me today? Why am I hold on to this? Is it worth anything? What kind of shape is this in? Is it fixable? Can I replace it? Will I ever wear this again? Do I love this? These are a few of many questions to ask yourself before you start organizing. Next you have to truly decide on how much space you have. When you decide on that you want to go and honestly pick through your clothes and figure out when you want to keep, throw away, and give away. You want to keep things that you can currently fit, not what you will loose weight to fit. You want to throw away things that are damaged and not fixable. You want to give away things that you can no longer fit. Do the same with shoe and your accessories. There are several ways you can organize you can do it by colors,
my pieces, by style. You can fold your sweaters and tee-shirts to create more space if its limited to you.
Hanging items up on the helps organize your things and create more space.
Tucking items in baskets above your closet acts as extra storage for seasonal or misc. items.
You can organize your shoes by style and color too. Helpful tip is when organizing your accessories section them out by colors in clear zip lock bags, it helps when you are putting together outfits. The truth is the fun come when you know where things are in your closet instead of having thing everywhere.
People hire people to organize their closets all the time, its a beautiful thing when done right,
but if you can learn to do it yourself it makes you appreciate it so much more. Good luck ladies and as always have a great weekend!

Make me dewy.....

The dewy look, if its done right, you look sun kissed, dreamy, and like you are dreaming of sunshine. If done wrong you look like a sweaty mess.
So let me show you how to do it right:
So the first thing you want is a clean base so wash, tone and moisturize and you would normally do
Next you to apply your base, for my lighter skin girls a sheer tinted moisturizer work great, it leaves you skin looking supple. For my darker skin girls liquid or mineral foundation works for you. You want your base to looker light, cream foundations are made for full coverage and you can still use it but you would have to mix it with your moisturizer to come close to that look.
You want to make sure your brows are on point, they are the natural frame to your face and it pulls the look in so feel free to fill in your brows.
Blush is a super must with this look. Your cheeks need to look flushed or rosie, cream blush is the key to that look. Apply it light because it is always easier to add more then take away.
Keep you eyeshadow soft and shimmery, stay away for blue, black, purple, etc... stay with earth tone that have shimmer. Don't forget to dab a little under your eyes to blend in almost like a highlighter.
Finally your lips, if your want to stay natural, do a nude lip, if you want to be a little more sexy go with a stained lip. No bold colors.
This is a very simple look but it tricky to pull off, it works the best with girls with combination skin, with oily skin it will only look greasy, with dry skin you would have to still keep checking on it to make sure its still dewy from time to time. As always have fun with it, if its not for you its okay, wipe it off. Take care.
